Putra Science Skit Challenge (PSSC)

Overview

The PUTRA Science Skit Challenge (PSSC) is a component event of Karnival Jom Sains 2026 that combines science and technology with performing arts. The competition provides a creative platform for students to present scientific concepts through acting, storytelling, and dramatic performance, encouraging experiential learning, teamwork, confidence, and critical thinking. Selected performances will be showcased during the carnival and on official platforms for educational purposes.

Open to primary and secondary school students nationwide, participation is in teams of up to six members with an entry fee of RM35 per team. The competition will be held on 15 April 2026, with registration closing on 23 March 2026.

The theme, “Beyond Limits: Green Science for Global Survival,” focuses on green technology and sustainable innovation. Each team must present an original 8-minute skit that clearly highlights elements of science and technology. Hazardous materials and sensitive content are strictly prohibited. Basic sound equipment will be provided, while additional props are the responsibility of participants.

Through PSSC, students gain the opportunity to creatively communicate scientific ideas while enhancing collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. Certificates and attractive prizes will be awarded to participants and winners.
