The PUTRA Science Talk Challenge (PSTC) is a featured event of Karnival Jom Sains 2026 (KJS 2026) that highlights science communication through public speaking. This competition provides students with a platform to present scientific ideas, innovations, or current issues in a clear, structured, and persuasive manner. Through effective science communication, participants deepen their understanding of scientific content while strengthening critical thinking, argumentation, and presentation skills. PSTC aims to nurture confident young communicators who can inspire greater interest in science and technology within the community.

Open to secondary school students nationwide, participation is in teams of three with an entry fee of RM15 per team. The competition will be held on 15 April 2026, with registration closing on 23 March 2026. All related expenses are the responsibility of the participants. Certificates will be awarded to all participants, with attractive prizes for the winners.

The theme, “Beyond Limits: Green Science for Global Survival,” focuses on the role of green technology and sustainable innovation. Each team will deliver a 5-minute talk, supported by one static PowerPoint slide and an optional non-hazardous prop. Presentations must be original, adhere to ethical guidelines, and avoid sensitive content. Judges’ decisions are final, and selected presentations may be featured on official platforms for educational and promotional purposes.
