The PUTRA Science Art Challenge (PSAC) is a component event of Karnival Jom Sains (KJS 2026), designed as a creative platform for primary school students to showcase the uniqueness of science through art. The competition encourages participants to explore scientific concepts from an artistic perspective, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and greater appreciation for innovation and technology in everyday life.

Open to primary school students nationwide, participation is in teams of three. The competition will be held on 15 April 2026, with registration closing on 23 March 2026. All completed artworks will be exhibited during the carnival on 15 and 16 April 2026 and may also be featured on official platforms to promote science to a wider audience.

The theme, “Beyond Limits: Green Science for Global Survival,” emphasizes the integration of science and sustainability in visual art. Only original, conventional visual artworks are allowed, and digital or AI-generated works are strictly prohibited. Participants are required to submit a bilingual (Malay and English) description of up to 200 words explaining the meaning and scientific elements of their work.

Through PSAC, students gain the opportunity to creatively express scientific ideas while building confidence and contributing to the promotion of science within the community.
